The moment is bad, but dealing with the effects, are often the worst. I feel for you.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She collapsed at a County Swimming meet, so we were not expecting that. And did not have diabetes in the family.

I often go into her room just to hear her breathe. And telephone her when she's out just to hear her voice.
