Thank you for an interesting article. Why you didn’t list the 100 worst companies escapes me – or at least supply a link! I’ve unsuccessfully tried to find it. I’ve read most of the responses to your article which sadly highlight my issue with today’s problems – to every problem we have activists and self appointed specialists arguing 20 solutions! Like politicians it’s more important to be right or perceived right, than to actually do something! And that’s why I choose not to get involved. I quietly do my little bit. If you don’t watch or read the news and newspapers, you are uninformed – if you do watch and read, you are misinformed. The truth in this world has become ‘like morning mist’ – it evaporates under the ‘heat’ of scrutiny.

Furthermore, countries like China, USA and Russia go unchecked because of size, a fear of confrontation, a pathetic outdated veto right of the UN security council, economics and geo-politics. If our world organisations such as the UNITED NATIONS not only can’t stop them, but actively turn a blind eye, what chance do we have? I read last week that 260 super fishing trawlers are parked up off the Galápagos Islands, busy striping the Galápagos Islands of fish …. Mostly Russia’s and Chinese boats. The Galápagos Islands are a world sanctuary. It’s doesn’t even make the news. Instead I must here what stupidity Trump tweets again for the ten thousandth time. Our media has let us down completely. We are busy rewriting history, but with no improvements, watching ROME burn a second time, while senators argue!

Insanity is described as making / doing the same mistake over and over while expecting a different outcome … therefore my interpretation is the world is insane. Never before has the world been so connected through social media – but it’s cleverly organised that we no longer have one cohesive voice. Instead we have ‘chatter’ from millions drowning out reality and common sense. The arrival of social media, like oil was heralded in its day as a giant leap for mankind … sadly it, like oil, will prove to be the undoing of our species. It creates chaos out of order. Perhaps it’s purpose from the start.
