Thanks for reading Annie.

I often think of this - why are so many young people going off-grid in the world

The Global Off Grid market is anticipated to rise at a considerable rate during the forecast period, between 2023 and 2030. In 2022, the market is growing at a steady rate and with the rising adoption of strategies by key players, the market is expected to rise over the projected horizon.

Which regions are leading the Off Grid Market?

North America (United States, Canada and Mexico)

Europe (Germany, UK, France, Italy, Russia and Turkey etc.)

Asia-Pacific (China, Japan, Korea, India, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam)

South America (Brazil, Argentina, Columbia etc.)

An excerpt from a Linked in Article.

I can't help but notice that the more advanced and first-world the infrastructure and access to media, the bigger the move away from it.

So in answer to your question - about ideas?

We have to switch off more. Downtime. NO phone weeks and even months.

Remove the internet for a period of time. Never mind dry January.

If you are "scared" of switching off. As you might miss something ... that is frightening. And that is probably the reason I struggle to switch off.

EE now has a switch on its WIFI service to pause the service it in households. So the kids can go to sleep and spend 5 minutes doing "normal things", before bedtime....

They're marketing it as a purchase advantage.

Just think about that for a second.

As a young boy, if we answered an urgent message in three days, it was acceptable. With modern technology, it's three minutes or police are being called because "they may be dead or in medical difficulty" ... it's crazy.

My error here was lumping the brain point together with ABIDE. I should have made it two pieces. I still may do a follow up to the brain portion. It is really important.

My son's girlfriend's 3 year old can navigate an iPad better than any of us. For me that is a scary thought. If they go out for dinner without an electronic stimulant, the evening is a disaster.

And I have now read enough pieces on it, from true professionals, to begin to see it for what it is.

Sorry for the essay. But I thought to answer in full, or not at all.
