But I agree with you wholeheartedly. Sorry for the loss of your 5 year old cousin. Again, a terrible tragedy. But as you so wisely identify. An accident.

Fate might suggest those two lives would have been taken anyway. Even if the young driver (Cameron) was in another State. I don’t know the answer to that conundrum obviously, but it saddens me to see the level of hate and “retribution desire” in the USA.

His sentencing appeal has been accepted. Hopefully he will be sentenced as a minor. And get a reduction.

It should be noted he did not leave the scene of the accident and has taken his punishment with a level of maturity that suggests he has learned a big lesson. Plus the Judge did allow for the fact he has no previous criminal record.
