Sucking my shorts aside. This is a very welcome and accurate piece. And I could not agree more.

I arrived in the UK in 1997 and Blair was in, was he perfect, no. But the UK had direction and hope. I left 2 years ago and the only thing I miss is a decent steak pie.

Which saddens me. My family still live in London, mostly. My children are being educated there and work there.

We need to learn that nobody is perfect. In fact perfect does not exist apart from me, obviously, we need to stop looking at what leaders do not get right, and commend them for what they do. Sadly - I see little to commend these days.

I am just hopeful that Labour aligns with the polls and this Tory fiasco is ousted.
