So many people I have hired focus on the minute detail first, instead of the culture and in so doing prioritise incorrectly.

Perfect example:
on day one …

you could make that plate of food better by doing this or that.

My response is always, learn our system first, and then make suggestions.

We don’t discourage input, but without knowing our ‘why’, you’re input is less valuable.
