No. It would not be. Up to 45% of water is lost to evaporation in plant irrigation.

This is due to it being dispersed over greater distances at at height.

Wildlife and domesticated animals if left to properly forage, would improve the soil and regenerate the land. Naturally.

I have a paper on a dead forest brought to life by simply adding a herd of cows that churned up the hardened soil, improved the quality of the soil through its natural waste, brought new plant growth, and thus improved the retention of water from the rain.

It did not run off and create flooding. Win-Win for everybody. It is widely accepted that we do not have enough cultivatable land to feed a world of vegans/vegetarians.

Thank god.

(That was my friend who wrote that last line. I will punish him).

My only saving grace for vegetarian eating is that it would allow the oceans to replenish. And that would be brilliant.

I can honestly see no other benefit. People say they feel better on vegetables. In my humble opinion, that is because the previous diet was not balanced anyway.

Most meat eaters consume way too much meat. And the wrong meat. The primal cuts are dense. And lack protein per gram and nutrient benefits. Liver, kidney, etc., Is meat - but seldom consumed in the modern world.

Answering as a friend of the planet.
