My passport says Place of Birth ZAF

For South Africa. So my Identity card in Italy says Place of Birth - ZAF. And therefore I cannot transfer my driver's license because you cannot be born in a country. (Which is true I guess), but the Municipal battleaxe won't change it to the actual place because I do not have it on my official documents.

But my long-stay visa has the actual place on. Which I can use to fly etc. But she won't accept it. And South Africa won't provide an Italian version of it corrected. So I have to pay 1500 euros to get an APOSTEEL to do it. And the SA authorities say it will take 6-12 months.

HAHAHA. Don't tell me about European bureaucracy.

Nobody wants to make it easier.
