I know it’s not helpful, but this is an American thing. It’s not so in Europe.

When I went to the States with my restaurant operation, I asked my lawyer how much paid leave do Americans get per annum.

He said 7 days. I said, ‘no
per annum’ and he said ‘ yes, 7 days … ‘

I was shocked. And the reason the USA has no social welfare is so it can fund the military and police forces around the country.
