I follow pubs. But I read writers. Or genres.
If you publish a story day on Trump, or Sci Fi … I discard it.
Therefore I don’t think it matters how many you publish.
You publish, that’s your job. The reader chooses which to read, and how many. That’s his job.
Some pubs have thousands of writers. If you stick to 6 a day, a writer could wait a week to get published.
And move on. This rule suggests (to me), you don’t want growth.
If that is so, niche is good. But then limit the number of writers.
