I was doing a stage in Switzerland for a mate. And had to fly from Stuttgart that same day for work in London.

It was pre 9/11.

I arrived at the airport with minutes to spare. And was “run” onto the plane … only while we were taxiing and I was seated did I notice I had my hand luggage with all my knives inside. In the cabin with me.

They’d not checked my luggage.

This could never happen today.

I tell my guys to get a knife bag or roll. You won’t have an issue with that. And they’re not expensive.
