Are we not experiencing a ‘Revolution’ which carries with it all the unknowns of the previous revolutions.

History teaches us. If we let it.

We need to contextualise things. Empires change or evolve during each of the last ‘revolutions’ - why we would think it has no effect on the current structure of society or the economy is beyond me. It has affected all the previous models when it changed.

And our society has never been more politicised. Whether we like it or not. So the obvious arena for it to play out in, is in the political one. Politics has become mainstream big business - which is a first.

Agricultural
Industrial
2-4 industrial revolutions.

Technological, digital and Ai revolutions are the cause … not some politicians in Washington. If you think that, I believe you are thinking too colloquially- too small.

If you think a single ‘regime’ - even that of the USA, can effect a change to the world order in its entirety, then why did Mao not have a greater effect worldwide when he caused a revolution in China … with a billion people plus.

We will look back at the tiny ripple communism caused over 2000 years, in much the same way as our (apparent) current dilemma.

We’ve had stability for so long, that the slightest rocking of the world keel creates panic. Upheaval is a hallmark of change.

We are changing to a new model. A bi-product of the Industrial Revolution as it morphs from steam to carbon fuel to digital, Technology, Ai etc.

Context is the key to pragmatic wisdom. Without context we bumble from crisis to crisis thinking we are doomed. Which is another way of saying - we are simply cavemen.

The fundamental difference between us and cavemen was the ability to gather knowledge … it determines how we use it. (Decision making). Cavemen had no way to contextualise beyond what they could see and touch. We have far more at our disposal. Hence my recent piece of world news.

Apology for the length of this
