It is styled as a debate, (Discourse) which it is not as well. A debate is where two positions are argued. This is more of a ranting soliloquy. And for the most part, it is in bad taste as the Queen is not even in the ground yet.
Which shows a lack of respect. Two wrongs do not a right make. Even if she was guilty personally of all the charges leveled against her in death. Which she is not, it still lacks respect.
I do not think it unreasonable to hold any talk of a Republic, for which I have no issue, until she is perhaps in the ground and the period of mourning is past. This would be afforded to any person by any reasonable person.
Talk of a republic can wait for tomorrow. Today we honour a life well lived. Penguin surreptitiously uses the situation to further her 'brand', her timing is obvious and transparent. And therefore not worthy of comment.
